Hi there! Today we went to Catalina Island on a high speed Catamaran. It travels about 33mph and uses 6 gallons of fuel per mile! Donna--I was thinking about you and our trip to the Keys - the weather was better today! During the busy tourist season the boat is full at 600 passengers. There were only about 100 today. The trip took an hour.
Catalina Island is a small mountain with mixed residential, hotel and condos. The houses are stacked one on top of another all the way up the hills. One of the CA residents told us that $2 million would be a reasonable price for a very small condo. There are great restaurants there and we had a wonderful lunch.
