Albuquerque Archetecture

Thought we would highlight some of the Albuquerque architecture. Some of the houses have peaked roofs and look a lot like our house in Florida.
Others have the classic Pueblo flat-roofed style.

Most of the houses and condos (left) are in the pink/salmon color of the area. We did see a few brick houses and a few sided houses, but not many.
Almost all of the residents landscape their yards with desert foliage, rocks, or decorative crushed stone.
Business structures are very similar. Some of the newer buildings have decorative roofs that give the impression of a roof but are not.
It's very desert. Very few homes have green grass, although there are homes with decorative grasses that are purple or brown. Lots of cactus.
Most of the bushes and trees are native and tend to be short and stubby.
